Water feels colder then indicated

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone has noticed that their tank water feels colder than the thermometer says?

Mine says 78F but it feels colder to me.

I find that, sometimes it's warm when I put my hand in and other times it's cold!! I think it has a lot to do with how warm your body temp is tbh because my thermometer stays the same
