Water in airline?

I just noticed that there is water in the airline between my pump and my check valve. I have never seen this before. It's hasn't impaired function yet ...

the kind with floss in it. The floss looks wet. New check valve or is it something else?

I find that style of check valve does not prevent slow backflow, it's only really useful A) as a filter, B) to prevent siphoning out of the tank when the pump goes out. Try a diffrent style of check valve.
