Right now in my tank I have a power sweep power head. I am going to get a maxi jet 1200 this weekend. My question is...I run a Fluval 304 and I am wondering that instead of buying 2 power heads, does the output of the Fluval count as a power head? I figure that the Fluval 304 is 260 gph, and a Maxi Jet 1200 is 295 gph, that would give 10x turnover rate, plus the power sweep which is undersized anyways. I just use that to move water around the bottom.

Yes, the Fluval counts for circulation. Its really only stuff like protein skimmers that don't count, since their return is so slow compared to the gph of the pump/powerhead running it.
