My city apartment apparently doesn't have enough water pressure to drive a steady flow of water, at a good pace, through the hose and into the sink. It's quite annoying, as sometimes the water won't even make it over the rim of the tank. How do you propose I fix this? Would cutting the length of the siphon tube work? Even so, the flow back in is so slow and the 55 could take forever to fill up.

ive had an idea of just putting tubing on this small pump i dont use and pumping the water out that way that would be quicker or you could take a lenth of tube and stick one end into the tank and suck on it a little to start a siphon and drain that into a bucket that idea i dont like i tried it a few times and i always get saltwater in my mouth lol
