Way to Reduce Flow on Repti Flo 200

Anybody have any suggestions on how to throttle this pump back without shortening its life span? Set up our newest paludarium and incorporated a water feature out of a log, which works great, but the pump shoots the water over the top of our river, so need to throttle the pump back.

Was it something built in or did you have to go dyi?

Its built in - hides underneath the intake cover. You have to remove the cover and then turn to adjust the flow rate.
