What Do I Need??

I was recently looking around some websites and found that they have protein skimmers and UV sterilizers for my 14 gallon Biocube. I have one maroon clown, a BTA, corals(3), and some inverts. i really want to know if it is a could decision to buy one or both of them or at least know which one is more important. Any advice is appreciated.

PS: How often should i replace my light bulbs? They are compact fluorescents.

A skimmer shouldn't be necessary on your system nor a uv sterilizer. PC's normally last 12mos. before needing to be changed out and of course, depending on usage.

CF lights start to cahgne spectrum afer 6 - 9 months. I change them out every 6 months.
