Egg crate is the plastic material used in recessed fluorescent lighting to diffuse the light. You can get it in white sheets at the hardware store, it also comes in black for use as a frag rack, etc from reef suppliers.

Thanks! Do you think i could find it small enough as for a 1 1/5" blenny?

Are you trying to keep him separated from your tank. In that case probably not the boxes are fairly large for that. there are breeding boxes which you can buy made of mesh which will do just that.

In that case I would say it would work. the likelihood that it could jump through one of those holes is really pretty slim. It will be fine.

You can answer that question yourself, honestly. Click on the link that fort provided you with, pick the size, add how many pieces, enter then click on estimate shipping.

You can also eliminate the possibility of the fish making it through a hole by wrapping the eggcrate in window screening. This way the top is still open (opposed to using a glass hood) but fish can't get out.

Hope this helps
