IMO, neither of those kits has a good enough filter. I would suggest piecing together a 'kit'. Get the tank of your choice, a good submersible heater, an aqua-clear filter. If you're planning on plants, the lights that come with those are no good for much besides anubias, java fern, anacharis... In the long run, you'll spend less by getting quality stuff up front, and stuff that will suit the needs of your tank better. JMO
