What is the front to back dimension? BTW, You don't need optics on these units unless your tank is over 30" deep. I am using them without optics on my 25" deep tank and have sps and clams on the sand bed.
I have 4 of them over my 8' x 30" front to back tank and have no shadowing anywhere.

Agree. But look at your LED emitters, on my Chinese panels they still have a small lens bonded to the top. Those are 120 degree lenses on mine, pretty standard, needed because a LED emits light in a almost 180 degree cone. That of course would waste a ton of light. Sometimes they inset them in a small reflector which does the same thing pretty much.

These look like a tiny glass bubble. I don't see a traditional lens.

It isn't. That bubble focuses the light a bit. I'll take some shots of emitters without that bubble. The light spreads out quite a bit more.
