Hi all, I just got a new tank and was wondering what these green things are that have been stuck on the side? Many thanks

Looks like a gang valve for airlines. You put one airline off the pump, then it distributes it 4 ways in this case.

Ahh I see, why would you want 4 air pumps?

Not for 4 pumps. That would make one air line from the pump go to 4 different things.

if you buy a big enough air pump...you run a siingle air line to these green valves..then you can run 4 seperate air lines at one time...and can also shutoff/run different ones aat the same time..

I get it now, Unfortunately i only have 1 air stone to run it to.

That's the beauty of the gang system. Run the one airstone thru one channel of the gang and close down the other valves. When you acquire more tubing and stones attach them!
