Question Which type of light T5,T8,T12,T5HO,T12HO,T12VHO

I'm going to build a custom hood and want to make a custom lighting scheme and do not have any idea which format to go with. My tank is a 120 (60x18x26) FOWLR with intentions on going to a reef and want to make provisions now for the future. There are too many formats & types of bulbs and would like to get everyones input on what I should do.

What type of corals do you wish to keep once you go in that direction? that will determine what type of lights to go with.

Thanx, I'll make a list, but that will probably be 9 months to a year away.

you don't have to go super expensive either. I was recommended the Current USA outer orbit by several LFS. I found a light with more wattage for half the price! Too bad I already had bought my MH's and t5's. Aquatraders.com has reasonable prices on lights. Even if the ballast's and lights are junk upgrading them will still be cheaper than buying the current usa models. Spend your money on a really good skimmer, return pump, and powerheads.

Thanks for the lead. Already took care of the items you mentioned.
