I have my 2 x 55w kit from AH Supply. It says they use compact flourescent bulbs. Is that the same thing as power compact?

yep, power compact and compact fluorescent are the same thing.

Ahsupply 55w kits are straight pin only, rather than square pin configuration. Make sure you get the right pin-type. Straight is still more common, but square can be found.

Thanks for the tip...I probably wouldn't have noticed that till I managed to buy a square pin and then tried to plug it in
