zoomed bulb

I bought a zoo med ocean sun 10000k bulb for my 20 watt crappy light fixture that came with the hood. I put the bulb in and it doesn't work. did I do somethin wrong? shouldnt it work??

what kind of bulb is it? T5, T8?

t8 like the aqueon bulb in there before that burned out after 5 months
