Aqua C protien skimmers

Between the remora pro and the urchin pro are their any differences in preformance? Do the in sump skimmers work more efficently than [acronym:0cf2dfc1fb="Hang On Back"]hob[/acronym:0cf2dfc1fb] because it is easier to maintian a consistant water level? I am leaning toward the urchin pro right now and a wondering what your take on them was since you obviously see and hear a lot about them. thanks for your time.

THe performance is identical. I like the hang on version since is more versatile.

thanks for the input. do you by chance know how high the water level must be relative to the top of the tank or sump for the remora pro to operate?

the reason I am asking is cause the way I am designing my sump I my have to have the uchin because i don't know if the remora will be able to be at the right water level.

The water level can drop pretty far. At least 2-3" before the pump is exposed. You can always attach a peice of tubing to the pump on the remora and lower it farther into the water.
