Remember me?
We are ordering a 240L next Friday. A few questions for you. I know you have a large tank, what did you order for an overflow kit. I am considering a megaflow BUT I am unsure that it's big enough for a good flow rate. Which brings me to my next question. Would a mag 3600 do the deed? I am also considering a dolphin pump but if a mag will do it I don't see the need. We are going to order an Aqua c remora spray injection from you (my christmas present : ) I have heard so many good things about there band of skimmers, what is your opinion. Also do you sell plumbing also? I want a system that cuts the water OFF when the power cuts out just like megaflows do. Something simple once set up.
How is your tank by the way? Mary

the mega flows are good and very quiet. I would skip the mag 36 and maybe run a GEN-X mak 4 pump. The are external but a little cheaper then the mag's. Plus the mag 36's can add a little heat to the water. The AquaC skimmer is a great brand, There are alot of different opinions onskimmers but the aquaC is surely in the top 5 brands. My choice is either the aquaC or the ASM. But the ASM is very cheaply made compared tothe aquaC. On my tank (which is not up yet) i will use 1 1/2" durso stand pipes similar to the mega flows. I like the mega flows as well since they are quiet releable and adjustable! They should flow about 650 [acronym:9a82c0b455="Gallons per hour"]GPH[/acronym:9a82c0b455] a piece.

Ok, I have looked into the durso standpipes as well, seem to work just like the megaflows. Are they as quiet too? I would also like to go with the 1 1/2". What should I do for the returns though? What size and how many should there be? Thanks for all your help, I know this isn't product related.
I really can not wait to get the skimmer. I still have not decided on the pump. The gen-X pump doesn't have the flow rate that the dolphin amp master's have. Am I wrong about that? I just read a lot of great comments about their pumps. That you for the link for the plumbing parts : )

1" returns should be fine. I like at leats 4. Have a ball valve on each one so you can tailor the output!
