Where have i been? by Captivereefs! :)

I just wanted to drop a post and say i am still here but not just as active lately! Here's why. My wife had our second baby in january so with 2 kids under the age of 2 freetime is scarce! That coupled with the fact i made a major career change at the same time does not help! I went from being a tool and die maker (16 yrs) to a mortgage loan officer. It has been progressing well and i am starting to get my time managment down pretty well. Those things coupled with running captivereefs.com have me pretty well exhausted when the day is done. One beer and i am sleeping by 9:00 pm.


I know have had very limited input on the board over the last 4 months. I just wanted to let everyone know i am still here and i WILL BE BACK full speed shortly! and i apologize if my PM replies are slower then normal latley. I know once things smooth out for me i will be able to resume my normal input on the board. I have always considered this my home board and have talked to many of you personally on the phone about kids, tanks and other topics.


I did think of closing shop for a little bit but figured if i back off a little i will not be as stressed and would pull through. Plus i worked to hard to get a good reputation and quitting has never been my thing! I am hear to stay!

Darin, Sounds like you have your hands full indeed. Being a first time father now with a 1 year old I fully understand what your going thru and I wish you the best of luck in getting your schedule back in order.

I dont think anyone here would fault you spending more time with your children than posting here.

Although I am more on the [acronym:4322a31c77="Freshwater"]FW[/acronym:4322a31c77] side of things, I'm glad to hear that you're still around! Congrats on the new baby -- I think I remember some pics at that time. It sounds like you got a nice new job too. I work with mortgage and closing companies a lot. You are certainly busy, but I hope things are beginning to be less chaotic for you!

Congratz on the new baby! I'm sure many of us can understand the value of time and how scarce it is...

Not sure if you remember me, but I bought a CoralVue 48" fixture from you last year while I was still planning my setup. Well, the planning and actual setup is all done. I just haven't filled it because for the last couple months, I've been contemplating moving.
