We currently have 4 tanks
5gal hospital with Angels in it
40gal community with mollies,guppies,catfish
And now a 150gal we are cycling. Any ideas or suggestions for what we should stock it with?

Rummy nose tetra, cardinal tetras, some of the corydoras that can handle high temperature(I have sterbai Cory) and a few more.

Any suggestions for starting a discus tank? :). Are they really as touchy as I've read?

I think it is just the price that scares people. Ive always wanted them but want a much larger tank first. I have a 75gal and would like to have sometgin in the 150-200+ range to give them some room to move. Good luck. Post some pics when u make up ur mind

If I can find a reputable dealer we will go for it! They look like a beautiful fish! And I have been researching like crazy to make sure I am well informed!

Where do you live? Check out kennysdiscus.com

You can email Kenny and ask him if he ships to Canada. He's the best discus guy in the bay area.

I think that salt water would be to difficult for us new to the hobby. We aren't ruling it out, just not yet. I also think my tank is bigger then the 150 I originally thought. 72 inch, by 30 inch by 24 inch. If my math is correct a 220 g tank?

224.415584 g according to my math lol. Saltwater isn't more difficult. The only difference is the salt. With a tank that size, you could get almost anything you want. Just the angelfish are extremely beautiful fish, not to mention an assortment of tangs. Just my $0.02 anyways lol

Or cichlids.... Lake Malawi are very colorful and have awesome personalities. Saltwater scares me ( price per fish) so o went from tropicals to several cichlid tanks ( 55g soon to be 75g in next few weeks, 90g lake Victoria and 140g Malawi ) and easy to care for.
A few pix on this phone

Yep.... Act it is a 220 gallon high 29 inches would have made it 210 g just for reference purpose :)
