Hi -

Thanks. The red plant, I'm not quite sure what it is. It came in with an order from "freshwateraquariumplants.com" as a "freebe". I think it's Red Ludwiga, but I'm not 100% sure. Whatever it is, it grows well in all three tanks I've tried it in, with progressively less light, down to about 1.5 watts/gallon.

No CO2. I used Seachem flourish for a while, which did speed up growth. Now that it's fairly grown in I don't add anything.

Cool.. congrats again on a great tank! have to get me some more drift wood!

it looks like ludwigia repens to me. you must have nitrates on the low side, the reds are outstanding! 8O 8O 8O

Your tank is lovely. One day, I might get up the courage to try real plants :turn-l:

HEHE, I got rid of my fake plant as soon as I got a proper tank for my betta. get some java ferns... really hardy little buggers.. I'm trying to get a good balance of plants vs. fish to keep the algae at bay and keep a good balance in the tank.

Hey awesome tank btw, Phlegethon. I really like the way u laid it out :D

Thanks. Of course it's all different now...I'll have to post some new pics.
I converted it into an attempt at an Amazonian tributary biotope...
