Here's my 8 gallon tank in all it's beauty!
I have amazon fern that I'll be moving soon in it, xmas moss, anacharis, and a marimo moss ball. When the amazon fern gets moved, what would be a good plant to put in it;s place because I think that the tank is missing something and I cannot put my finger on what it is exactly...

It currently holds:
x1 Male Betta
x5 Panda Cories (to be moved to 55g in the next week or a half, depending on when the filter comes in...)
x1 Nerite snail

Here's a picture of the male betta, Fitzwilliam:

Cool tank!! Panda cories are the best!

Yeah they're pretty awesome! But I love my peppered ones as well but these ones never seem to stop moving:D

Oh I also wanted to add that in going to change the purple gravel for some more natural looking sand and brown pebbles as well. Maybe take out the rock from the left corner as well... But I'm not all too sure.

The change in gravel to a natural dark sand would make it look much better!

Yeah I'd have to agree. I actually have some extra sand that I could use for it. The tank was previously in my sisters room so she chose a lot of what went in there. But do you have any clue on what would be something to help with the excessive amount of hair aglae on the moss and dw? I think that amano shrimp might work but then again I might be wrong about that... Also when I get rid of the panda cories should I put in dwarf/pygmy cories or something else? The betta doesn't like fish that constantly zip around so I'd have to keep that in mind...

I know if you dose excel it removes some, and cutting back on the light. Well I believe bottom dwellers go well with the betta, they don't move around a lot and are nocturnal. I believe they are bronze corys and Pygmy corys.
Siamese flying foxes are the best hair and brush algae eaters. But they go in larger tanks.

Cool! Thanks a ton for this:). I'll look to see if they carry excel at my lfs the next time I go. I think that I'll probably get the Pygmy cories unless I find something that I like that's better;). Thanks again! I'll post pictures when I do some changing of substance!

Very nice! Does your Betta ever bother the Cories?

No he doesn't. He just swims around the top and occasionally comes down to the bottom and the cories just swim right on by and he doesn't care a bit:)
