Thx,

Update 9/28/05

I've added a new co2 reactor that's helped a lot, my water params. have leveled out and plant growth is very good.

I heavily pruned this last night. The anacharis on the left has been pruned and replanted 4 times and all the tropic sunsets and temples (green) had reached the top, 24".

I moved the giant hairgrass to the front left, yup, the front. I like to think outside the box sometimes :)

I moved all the anubias to another tank.

Thx,

dave

What's between H. polysperma and A. reineckii? Thanks.

I really like the half circle around the rock planter :)

update 10/1/05
I did a massive pruning to get all the BBA out.

I've added a 25w UV sterilizer. Water is starting to get "polished" look now.
Cleaned fluval y'day and added some new filter floss.

Thx,

dave

Wow! 8O Huge difference in the look since that pruning. Just looking at the difference in the fallen branch you have there. Did the UV sterilizer clean it up that much or the fish? Tank looks fantastic btw :D

I cleaned the branch off myself Skyrmir, this tank had a bad case of BBA and I'm trying to be sure I get it all out.

Now I'm ready to start shaping things. I pruned most everything real heavy to get new growth with brighter colors :)

I planned this tank out about 6 months ago as far as colors and plants. When it's complete, I hope to have a staircase of colors.

Thx,

Dave

I like how that looks dude, I would had went sick w. a 90 gallon, the possibilities are wild with a huge tank, make sure to keep updateing.

I've been dosing 10 ml Excel daily to help with the algae, also pruning it out and I've about got a grip on it.

Thx,

Dave

The staircase/terracing looks sweeeeeet. Your tank just keeps looking better and better :)

As a suggestion, mayaca fluviatilis might be a better effect than anacharis on the front left -- if you can wait a while I'll have some to spare (propogating now).

I don't see my image anymore ?

Anywho..I was gonna change that Anacharis out cz, just haven't decided to what yet. I'll look up the plant you mentioned :)

Thx,

Dave

Growth is really great now, still battling the BBA some.

prszd co2
pH settled out at 7.0
no3 10ppm w/o dosing, 1 dash of kno3 brings it up to 15-20ppm
po4 1.5 - 2 with dosing, 1.0 without dosing
kh 5 after 40% pwc, 3 tsp of baking soda brings it up to 7 -8 dkh and it holds there without dosing between pwc.

I've been adding 10 ml of Excel daily, skipping a day here and there to help combat the BBA and doing lots of pruning.
