Thanks! I think I had a cycle stall, waiting it out a couple more days to see what happens. I was REALLY hoping to have fish in this weekend. *sigh*

None yet Ben, as soon as I have stock, I'll post some updates.

That is a superb looking tank.. I always liked the lights being inside a closed canaopy top.. makes it look way larger than a 55g. Its a shame you arnt putting live plants, but again that isent for everyone. Im sure once you get this one rolling youll consider it down the road. Its really not that difficult with paitience a bit of knowledge and some investments. Did you paint the sides of the tank black aswell or just the back? Oh and man if I could get my hands on a ghost knife! such a intersting fish. Cant wait to see it !

Here's my new Sunset Angelfish that I purchased on Saturday, asked for 5 since they were 5 for $15 and he gave me 7 (in case some died). They are all doing fantastic so far. Except for my GBR chasing them around. I will take Zagz advice and move some stuff around this weekend when I do a PWC. They are all juvenile from dime to quarter size. Sorry the pictures are a little grainy.

Wow the tank looks great~!

And that third pic of the angel fish.
Spot on!
Beautiful.

Not sure if you are still thinking about a BP.
But they will move your plants anywhere THEY want to!

Something to think about Madwoman!

Congrats.

I love the tank, I am in the midst of building a very similar stand for my 4 foot tank, which will end up being black as well with some of those blue LEDs in the hood.

I am curious though, you said you painted the back of the aquarium, what kind of paint did you use and did you paint the sides? I didn't know if painting the sides would make the tank look smaller somehow...let me know thanks

painting the sides wont make the tank smaller.. but it will irritate the fish less.. less area to watch out for predators from. my tank personally... if i painted the sides.. i wouldnt get to see my fish sitting in that corner when i open my door to see me like a little dog xD
