flower horn pics

here is my juvenile flower horn. He is currently living in a 55 gallon tank by himself. In about 6 months he'll be upgrading to a bigger tank, again by himself. He is quite aggressive and I have to watch him constantly as I clean the tank. He has taken a couple of "swings" at me and so now I protect myself with the algea scrubber stick . But, overall he is a bunch of fun to watch. He is constantly rearranging the gravel to his liking and always greets me (wanting food of course!).

PS-these photos don't show the really neat blue color of his eyes and the irredecent spots around his black areas.

thank you very much! I'm wondering how he will change as he gets older. He could very well be a she too!

what an awesome fish, I can tell he is so much happier to be in your tank then at reef magic. I gotta come see him sometime.

you should come by! and for everyone else, scott saw my flower horn in the shop in a 55 gallon tank with two huge oscars (who were being beaten up by my flower horn) and the color of the flower horn was very black so this fish has changed dramatically since I got him.

That guys no doubt a male, the pointy pectoral/anal fins are a dead giveaway. Females are rounded off at the tips.
