Hair algae

I have all kinds of it. I am about to buy a pair male and female American flag fish. I read they will eat that stuff up. Anyone got a better idea?

I've never kept flagfish personally but have read that they can be terrors. What kind of lighting do you have? The first thing I'd do is figure out what is causing the algae and resolve it.

only get females. males can be aggressive and they wont eat as much algae. shrimp are a good idea along with a small pleco
