The heater has gone bad in one of my aquariums.

What is a good brad of heater to buy?

Does anyone have one they really like and whose brand is it?

Thanks for any comments

Ha..ha that'll be a question you're certain to get a lot of varying responses.

What size tank and what heater did you have? That may help narrow your choices down, giving you better options.

My favorite heaters are the Hydor Theos.

I always used to break my old heaters by forgetting to unplug them on w/c days, till I bought my first theo.

These heaters can be ran dry, are shatterproof, and shock resistant. I have one in every one of my tanks now. The only thing I have a complaint about is that you might want to get the next size up than what's recommended by them for your tank. I have a 100w in my 28 and it doesn't have enough power to get higher than 82*, which is fine, but if I ever have an issue with ich, I'll have to buy a higher watted one for it so I can get it a bit higher.
