A couple of weeks ago, I set aside a nice male and female pearl gourami and put them into their own 29 gallon tank, with dwarf water lettuce as their floating plant and a sponge filter as their filtration. The light I had on there quit working, but last weekend we basically caught a "fish stuff moving sale" and part of that included a twin tube NO strip light for a 29 gallon. So now I can get the water lettuce to grow again! :)

Since I have put the fish into this tank, the male has been a little rough on the female, but they have both grown some, and the male has developed the "streamers" on his finnage. So far, I have not seen a bubble nest. I am hoping that this is due to the lack of floating plants after my light died for a bit. Anyway, cross your fingers for me!

How cool! I was going to breed pearl Gouramis but in the end I realised my tank was stocked so couldn't add anymore!
