So I was an aquarist at a large aquarium and got burned out on fish keeping for a few years. This was my re-entry into the fish world. Low maintenance, low tech, low price ;) nothing super fancy, but it's a good stepping stone while I plan my 125g.

No its a wisteria I picked up a petsmart ;) I don't have any serious plants yet. I'm working on what I want to order for the big tank. I'm thinking of putting Discus in it and keeping this 20 for babies some day.

Ohh. In order for java fern to grow it does best if the rhizome (the part the leaves are growing out of) is above the substrate, or attached to a rock or driftwood. I just set mine on top of the substrate and let it attach itself to it.

And discus would be great!!! If they bred they could throw some massive $ your way. My lfs sells them for 50 and 70 dollars
