All the plants came from petco in the aquarium section. They were potted mixed plants. They were all submerged in a display tank there.

Yeah you still have to watch. Anything labeled semi-aquatic is usually non aquatic. Really plantgeek.com is an excellent choice on figuring out what is an isn't aquatic.

As far as your fish choices, I recommend no more impulse buys lol. Your going to have a lake sooner or later with those impulses! Research is your best friend!
