Well, my new tank was supposed to be a parrot fish tank, but the fish were too shy, not very amusing, and acted as if they were dead when in the presence of humans. It was disappointing, but I have decided to keep African cichlids as I did some years ago. I posted an earlier picture, but the tank was still decorated for parrot fish when I had just added the cichlids. Needless to say, their tank decor needed renovations badly. I just bought 30+ pounds of lace rock, ans four pounds of slate rock to the tune of $100, but it was worth it. The cichlids now have the caves and holes they need to feel safe and secure. I also added an additional filter for a total of 2, because there are 8 fish of varying sizes. Here is the tank now.
