they would love that extra room!! I love seeing bettas in nice sized tanks. Mine is in a 165L community tank :)

Me too! My friend has a 110super planted with a betta and some tetras, and thats about it, probobly the most spoiled betta ever

Ive saved all of mine from wallmart. I hate going thereas it is, but I always end up in the pet section, and then getting teary eyed at the tiny, filthy containers they stuff them into.
the blue one (hes really blue, yellow, orange black, but hes very camera shy)
was in a small container that was so filthy, i didnt know if there was actually a betta in there. it took weeks for him to actually swim around in the tank, he hid in a corner, and stayed in a space the size of his "cup"

alas, he is now twice his old size (he was just a baby, not much bigger than a quarter when i got him)and a huge bully, but at least hes strong enough to do that now haha

I love bettas, there so colorful, look great, and they can do good in some neat comm. tanks.

They are so pretty, I love the crowntails.. But I have the same problem as you do, I see a betta in a tiny cup and can't help but take them home when they look at you with their little puppy eyes. Thus the reason all of mine are common Veil Tails :) I can't keep a betta in anything less than three gallons, I make myself sick thinking how unhappy I would be in closet for my whole life. Even the three gallon tanks seem small to me.

yeah, tbh, i feel the 5 one is in is way too small. Alas, I cant have a separate, heavily planted 600 gal per betta HAHA
