Nice tank's :) what's your stock?

55 gallon elephant nose tank.
30 gallon vampire shrimp, green lace shrimp and snails.

In the 55: red shoulder severum, senegal bichir, needle nose gar, black ghost knife, pleco, geophagus juipari, blue lobster. They are all rather small, biggest is the gar and he is maybe 6 inches.

In the 155 gallon: baby arowana, baby motoro stingray

Looks like a motoro, but just my guess.

That motoro and arowana tank is going to be an absolute nightmare to take care of, I commend you for taking on such a challenge!

What are you gonna do with all the fish in the 55 when they get too big?

Arowana are recommended at 200 gallons. They get 3 feet long if properly cared for.

If it's a Motoro Ray they need a big big footprint. As their diameter can reach close to 30 inches.

Let's just say in my dreams of owning a massive tank I've researched those larger fish.

Thanks! Yes it is a motoro. He is fantastic. I thought rays were less active, but mine has proven me wrong! He goes everywhere and is beautiful to watch. I know how big they get. I will probably end up moving the BGK over when he gets bigger. Depending on their sizes, maybe others. Also got 3 discus today! I don't have plans for any new fish. Will try to post a pic of the discus!

Discus should really not even be in that mix, their very sensitive on a good day usally with the common stock. You really need to return them. The people posted about the arow stressing them are right, their gonna die pretty qyick

Ive recently read more abt stingray and discus being kept together very succesfully. But an arrowana and discus is gonna prove to beca bad investment. Sorry to say, bud.

Well, from what I've seen so far they have been fine together. The discus often swim right over to the Arowana, as the picture shows. My LFS owner (who hasn't given me wrong info yet) said they should be fine as long as they are introduced as young as they are and have adequate space to swim.

Not to discredit the LFS but most of them just want the $$$ and will tell you want you want to hear. If it doesn't work out they just make excuses. That's why many of us do our own research based off of experience and evidence not just the word of a salesman.

I did research. Mixed reviews. Many said it wouldn't work, some said they are fine together. Believe it or not I didn't just go buy random fish. So far they are fine. I will update if anything changes.

I doubt you would have done no research before spending that dough. Good luck with it, keep me posted. Im ever so curious. Hope you didnt think i was saying NO, DONT DO THAT. ive just seen it tried twice with bad results.
