this is my 5.5 gallon setup, i'm new (the name says it all...) and i would love to hear your advice
filter: Elite 5
heater: Elite 25 watt
fish: 1 male VT betta, 1 male painted swordtail

i got it at pet supplies plus for like $7, then all of the plants were $3-5, the gravel was $8 (like 4 lbs), the filter was about $20, the heater was about $15, the broken vase and arch were both about $15 and then i just taped some black paper on the back

You may have too much gravel i did that with my first tank makes it a pain to clean and the gravell will get rly dirty.
