The tank is slanted and gets wider as it gets higher. I don't know how to decorate the cage, or if I should get a heater for my Betta in it

What's your typical room temp? Unless its in the mid to high seventies I'd get a heater, they are tropical fish.

It's 1.5 gallons and my room temp is high 60's probably. My parents were strict on a small tank :/
