A pair of blue-tailed tuxedo ribbon guppies that I am going to breed. The only reason it's so small is because it's in my dorm

Your gonna have to trust me on this. Before your tank is established just take it down an start over. If you really want your plants to flourish with little effort on your part your gonna want to use dirt with a sand cap as your substrate. I use miracle grow organic choice potting mix. This is my ten gallon dirted. Best of luck.

Good choices for fish. Love the tank! Have fun with it, the fish will love the live plants too!

Dont worry about it too much, if you get all the plants established and add some fetilizer, all you have to do is wait a while (preferably with some fish living in the tank) and allow the detritus to collect at the bottom of the tank.
