I currently don't have any fish inside, its cycling and I'm adding fertz. I mainly want my plants to grow a lot and then add fish. I'm thinking of a small high fin ram.

Awesome!! I just set up a small tank with some plants too! Mine is 30 L or about 8 gal (5.2 gal of water after decorations)

What fish do people recommend for these smaller tanks with plants??? My tank was actually designed for shrimp in mind which are quite popular here in France - I don't remember shrimp being that popular in the states or nearly as beautiful as the red ones I keep seeing here...

I'm just afraid of what fish to keep with a single shrimp if I get one..
