He finally got free of his exoskeleton at the cost of both his claws. He seems to be very happy without them. First time in awhile he can move freely. He is starting to turn a blue color. Very cool....

Well, it seems like it may have been for the best! Glad he is happy! He looks happier to me. and the blue is so pretty! Love love!

Yea...He is out and about so much more than before. He loves sitting on top of his cave. One question...Do you have a heater in your crays tank. Here in Florida it's not too cold but lately the temps have been in the 30's and his tank goes from 72 to 77 degrees. Is the change of temperature back and forth ok for him? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

I kept crays for years without a heater hell be fine.

Most crays actually thrive and do better in cooler water

I thing if it's a gradual change,slowly drop over a period of hours, and it has time to adjust, you should be ok. Just be sure to not let the water get too chilly.

Don't have a problem with water getting too cold here in Florida lol
