Just a suggestion, how about some type of geophagus? They love to sift through sand. I also like threadfin heckelli's. Here are a couple of pics of my fish.

What are the pare tears they need? And are they community safe? My tetras are pretty small yet. Yea my parrots sift through the sand along with my rainbow shark. But your fish look pretty cool. Almost like a blue gill.

Pics didn't post last comment! My 60 gallon African! And the second one is a 20 gallon EBJD tank I hope yo pair up very soon..the other ones a jaguar cichlid baby
