Not sure exactly what plant it is, but it is an ivy that If you cut off a long strand of it and let it float in your tank will grow shoots and do very well in the top of the tank

i do not reccommend duckweed, cuz it can grow out of control and can be pretty hard to get rid of...maybe some dwarf water lettuce or amazon frogbit?
