I got this tank a few months ago everything is going great I have made a few mods and added a uv sterilizer and skimmer.

So far it seems to b a pretty nice investment I have already spent way more money than expected but I love it I don't even watch much tv any more. I love the hobby and all the learning and research. I will check out ur thread tomorrow hopefully

I am going to b adding the in tank refugium as well decided on that rather than trying to do a sump on this tank will go with the sump when I get a bigger tank ordered a new skimmer that will fit in compartment one because the refugium will sit in place of previous skimmer

I'm thinking of doing the fuge thing on my cube. Do you have any close ups of your setup back there? Is that a skimmer in the far right compartment? It looks really really good!

Fuge pics

Here are the pics Carey THe first starting from the left of the cube is the pump which i upgraded to 315gph just a little more than stock and the UV sterilizer in the second compartment is the fuge basket and then media basket i have live rock in the bottom of fuge and above it chaeto, the media basket has chemipure at the bottom purigen in middle slot and a sponge in top tray. The last chamber on the cube i have a protein skimmer made for the cube. I have only had it for a week and it is not working at all so far im trying to give it some more time to see if it will break in if not going to try and fit the other one back in the aquatic life 115 was working well but i didnt think it would fit, now im not sure so its still up in the air.

Fuge light

The light is a 6500k 4 led i cut a piece of 1/8 thick plexi glass for light to attach to.

I had no plan on doing all this but i have become obsessed with tank i am already ready for a bigger tank trying to make room tho, thanks for the compliments

Im in the process of doing a similar setup on my bc14.... set the fuge up already. How do you get the pods and critters out of it into the tank? Do you just swish the chaeto around in the tank when you are taking the excess growth out?

The pods will circulate throughout the tank from the water pumps and so on. I do have some really nice juicy pods in the chaeto of the fuge that I only see when I trim the macro algae.
