55 gallon reef

This is the new tank I started in November. I had been away from saltwater for about three years. I couldn't hold out any longer. I will post some full tank shots tomorrow.

Haha, I'm ready for the tang police. Ive had a yellow.tang in a 55 before. I actually had one in my old tank for several years. I do plan upgrading in the next few months. I am eying a 210 gallon. Just haven't pulled the trigger.

I've had a yellow tang in a 55 before and it lived Happily for months til I got an anemone and it got stung and died

I haven't had a problem with having one yellow tang in a 55. But I don't typically use.too much live rock. I have a lot of swimming room at the front and back of the tank. I wouldn't personally recommend it for anyone else. Everyone know there own maintenance schedules.

If it were just a matter of maintenance and open swim room I'd have one. I am constantly on my tanks parameters. lol i also made sure there was swimming room in front AND in back of the rock.

Can't knock a gal for trying
