yellow tang and blue tang won't have enough room in a 55. You should skip both of those. Not positive but i think if the lion gets big there is a chance he will make lunch out of a damsel.

For a 55g correct? Nix the Volitans as they get large, 12" (think football) and would need at least a 90g-125g+ for long-term growout along with consuming smaller tankmates. The bullet goby and any substrate dwellers are susceptible to attack by the eels.

Most predators get too large for average aquariums, but this is a possibility as long as your filtration is extremely efficient (hope you have a sump):
x2 Dendrochirus brachypterus, Fuzzy dwarf lions
x1 Echidna nebulosa, Snowflake eel or x 1 Pseudechidna brummeri, White ribbon eel.

I'm not very good with aggressive tanks so i can't help you much there.

I am quite bored though so i put together a possible stock list for kicks.
1x O. clown or GSM (added last)
3x Bartlett's Anthias
1x scissortail dartfish
1x Midas blenny
1x radiant wrasse
1x bullet goby

You will definitely want to get a second opinion on that list though. It would have to be added very slowly keeping a close eye on your levels to make sure you don't overload the tank.

aside from the coral beauty none of those fish will bother corals just your inverts. So you could have the corals but i'm not sure what you would do about a cleaning crew
