thanks everyone. i am suprisingly content with a small tank. i dont really have plans for anything larger. i may start a frag tank soon but thats about it. as for where i have been... work. lots of it. just keeping me busy. i have also been working on project car lately. keeping me occupied aswell. frsh tanks are doing good also. a little neglect here and there but otherwise healthy. i have been breeding my yellow labs and selling them. i have about 40 right now i need to sell. i am suprised this tank has done as well as it has. espically based on the care level. i use tap water. 5 gallongs every 2 weeks(if not longer) besides regula top offs(which are also done with tap water) no dosing of anykind. just normal pellet food and the occasional frozen treat. onl problem i have had so far is a werd red leafy... i guess its algea.... stuff that grew all over 2 of my snails and some on my substarte. looks kinda cool though. anyone know what that purple stuff is in the centre of the tank. this stuff... i never added it.

same with this red thing... it just kinda grew. this picture isnt very good my macro wasnt co-operating.

here is a random shot of some buttons. i picked up one head as a freebie grap ata a LFS and it has been doing quite well forming a colony.

her are 2 short videos. not very good quality at all. but the first one is of my xenia inda pulsing doing its thing. u can see the little fingers opening and closing. kinda entertaining. the second is kinda just a view of the whole tank. u can see the clown playing in the anenome. enjoy.

Tank looks great.. Nice pics..

you may want to look into a ro/di unit soon. That algae you have will soon take over your corals and LR. Have you checked nitrates and phosphates?
Don't let the nuisance algae get out of control..

the algea being the red stuff on the bottom? its gone now. i just need to pull that little bit off the substarte and its done. i got laxed ona water change one week and it started but i stopped it and it hasnt spread since. the only algea i am having a problm with is that stupid green vine like algea, stuff just wont stop growing. i pull it out all the time but it is persistant.

Good shots and nice tank. That red thing is nice. I wish something like that pops up in my tank - unless it's bad of course.

check your nitrates and phosphates, this is food for the algae and it will keep growing unless you control it. The green stuff next too the buttons also looks like a problem algae.
The tank look great and I would hate to see it get taken over with algae.
My friend has this issue in his 90 and after a long fight he is packing it in and breaking down his tank. He is also going to travel more. but the algae pushed him over the edge.

I'd like to know what the purple is also. It looks similar to something i have in my tank/. Is your tough to the touch? What I have growing is almost hard but it is flexible....very dense like what you have...
