Hello everyone. Figured I'd start a tank thread for my biocube. Tank has been up for approximatly 7 months. Here's a detailed stock list and some pictures. I am also open to ANY advice you have for me. Also note that I know my tank is heavily stocked. I dose a diluted sugar solution daily to maintain my phos and nitrate at almost undetectable levels

I run the back full of LR with a old biocube filter I fill with chemipure and carbon. I upgraded the pump to one of the small magdrives and also added a biocube UV that runs 3 hours at night. I had the original 150w MH on till about a month ago when I switched to the taotronics 120w dimmable. I also have a old IV pump that I use to dose kalk and mag daily along with trace elements once a week.

The sugar solution I mentioned is part of my carbon dosing regimen. Same thing as dosing vodka. I dilute 1/8 tsp per 25ml ro water to get my diluted sugar solution. I dose approx 75ml a day. This is my carbon dosing and tends to keep my tank pretty well topped off also.

So do you have a skimmer to go along with the sugar dosing?

Yup. I upgraded from the normal biocube skimmer to the tunze nano skimmer. Works fantastically and fits in the back compartment like a glove. Took a little toying with to get it to fit in the back compartment and operate well but it pulls a full cup of skimmate every 2-3 days

Good to know. I haven't had a skimmer on my BC29 for over a year now. I had the Tunze 9002 and threw it out the window.
