Hey everyone my names Rich
I started my first saltwater tank a little over a month ago
I have a 150 gallon long aquarium
100 lbs of live figi rock so far and 1 inch of live sand both from a 7 years established tank
I'm currently running a wet dry overflow for filtration
Also have 2 220 power heads
I'm running a 72 inch coralife lighting system which is great so far..which is also on a timer for 10 hour daylights/14 hour nights along with 4 L.E.D.S for extra night lighting
I currently have 2 yellow tale damsels and 3 dif. Types of coral iv had for a few days and they all seem to be doing great
I will be posting pictures of everything soon

Regards,
Rich

Nice tank ya got there, ever think about painting the background blue or black? Maybe some more rock? I'm a rock guy. I stuffed 30+ pounds of live rock into my BC29

I'm actually gonna use it as a room divider for my bedroom/ living room and yes imma put another 100 lbs when I get the chance so then I'll have a little over 200 lbs. of rock in a 150 gallon tank

Can't wait to see more!

Ya I always knew the bigger the tank the easier it is to take care of
And iv had large freshwater tanks all my life an decided to buy a new one and go saltwater
And it's been worth every penny

I agree with convict, maybe some more rock but it is a cool looking setup so far!

Wow! Jealous!! I want a 150 (or bigger-lol)!!! Great start! Keep us updated as to the progress!

Your tank looks really good. Great rock work. I have 120 pounds in my 90 gallon.

Be cautious of the damsels. I had a damsel that killed my goby, 2 damsels, and 7 shrimp. Evil little thing. I had to take all my rock out of the tank to catch him.
