it looks like the sump is a cooler. do you have any heat problems or cooling problems?
that looks like it would be a great idea.

Yes it is a cooler, I cut the lid in half so I could fit my protein skimmer. The other half cuts down on the water noise. I havent had any unusual heating or cooling problems, note- I dont even use a heater and cooling is controled by the fan above the sump.

what temp do you keep the tank at? what is the temp swing?

80 in the morning to 82 max in the evening. Thats the summer time.

Very nicely done!!!! Kudos on the [acronym:e1333ca696="Do it yourself"]DIY[/acronym:e1333ca696] filtration setup.

I'm imazed that the back of the tank is so clean!!!!
