with cyano, dyno's and nasty algae?
after re-arranging my filter scheme and adding chaeto to the fuge, I am almost ready to declare success.
What was a nasty sea of brown, snotty filaments, green hairiness and bubbling green film a couple months ago has transformed into this;
and let's not underestimate the power of a refugium;
before , after cleaning and when display was a tragedy;
today, fuge is a tragedy and display is clean, just as it should be;
it's pretty much choked with chaeto and caulerpa......perfect.
and my mandarin has continued to eat whatever food is introduced as well as a nice diet of pods. He has managed to gain a good bit of weight, when I got him he had that pinched, malnourished back/body, now he is getting nice and plump ;
Still get a small amount of green algae daily, but overnight it gets handled by the little critters and each morning the tank is fresh looking again, nitrate and phosphate are undetectable, so everybody's happy.....
