awesome pictures! what camera are you using?
how long have you had the goniopora, and do you target feed it?

Hi Doug...it's not the camera...rather the monkey behind it...lol. It's the Canon 1D Mark IV.

I ended up with the goniopora from a friend who was taking his tank down. It didn't originally look that good but it's improved in my tank. I do target feed it with your recipe of fresh seafood about twice a week and daily with what drifts its way when I feed the fish.

The one I'm worried about is my torch. It hasn't "fully" extended its tentacles in about 2 or 3 weeks. It's eating and expelling waste and the one thing I noticed is that the heads are growing bigger but alas...not extending as when I first got it.

Thanks...Steve

4 grand for the body only? yikes! i think i'll stick with my powershot D10!

i think you should try something very small like cyclo-peeze (the frozen type)
and shut off all flow in the tank while you are feeding it. use a syringe or something to direct it.
this stuff-

...in something like this-

what did you change in the tank recently? did you change the lighting? how about the position of the torch?

May I add that it`s some v ery impressive pics also. Great looking fish and corals and inverts also.

Very nice shots! Great looking critters.

Thanks very much for the compliments.

Mike - That's the fish, yellow tang, that had HLLE. Thanks to you guys and the advice it has healed up so well. It loves the "mansion" compared to the QT.

Doug - It is very expensive but tools of the trade. Thanks for the tips. I have the syringes and the cyclops but never really turned off the flow. Will try that at tomorrows feeding.

As for the torch. No changes. I did however recently move it to see if it would extend its tentacles. Other than that it has been in the same spot, same lighting.

Thanks again...Steve
