Newer Setup - 125g

Link to my old setup: New 150g setup

About late Feb I setup the tank above. Around end of April the top brace of the old system broke and I had to do an emergency evac. The brace broke because I placed the lighting systems directly above the tank without legs and the center bulb heated up the brace. Lesson learned.. Everything lived in a 150G tub for 2 weeks.

Here are some shots of the new setup that is slightly smaller at 125g. Pretty much the same stuff just a new tank, more live rock and some new corals. The Sabae has increase in size about 10x since the new lights. That thing will take over the tank soon.

Next project is Sump but I'm having a **** of a time deciding on getting a taller Stand. If I do a sump in this stand I need to find a short skimmer, anyone know of a good one that is <20" tall? The measurement inside the stand is about 22" tall. I think I may be able to get away with a 21" skimmer and just tilt that thing when I have to empty the cup. Suggestions?

Disregard the mad photography skills!

Wow, I never thought of that. I'm in the process of doing a tank that has a glass center brace just like that. I must say that I'm a little surprised that it broke just from the heat. Could water have been splashed on it while it was hot?

Nice looking tank BTW!

I believe that is exactly what it was doing. The water splashing on the glass and eventually it just gave up and popped. Sounded like a firecracker went off.
