Paul's 38 gallon reef tank

Added 4 more lbs of rock to the scape. Rearranged a few things. Also made a bigger frag rack with a large magnetic algae cleaner. Got a few drags of green candy canes, purpke encrusting monti, yellow polyps, and some green with orange eye zoanthids. Here's pics.

Emptied the sump today and put in a baffle to keep sand and stuff out of the return pump. Also was able to fit the aqua c remora hang-on Skimmer where I wanted it to begin with. So now I have a lot more room in the refigium now with the Skimmer out of the way. Did a large water change in the process. Here's some pics.

So I haven't been able to upload pics from my phone Ans still don't know why I can't. But I did silence my danner mag drive 3 by boring out the holes to 1/4 inch and putting nylon screws and bolts through and attaching the bolts to smaill rubber air compressor feet. Works good, wish I could share a pic. I noticed a lot of other people out there with dannee mag drive pumps that ate looking for suction cups or 'feet'.

Picked up a awesome green acan frag and a war coral frag too. Wish I could share pics but Evey time I try to upload it says that I have exceeded my quota my 210 KB. Dunno what it means but I use this forum through the app on my phone and I have unlimited everything.

Thanks. I've been working on it a lot. I'm gonna do a possible dramatic rockscape arrangement next day off. I'm just not happy with possible coral placement. Ill update!

New rockscape. Tell me what you think. I just literally got done. Water change too. Water is foggy still and corals closed. Ill update when its all open.

I've seen a lot of tanks with frag racks, what is the purpose of them? Is it to acclimate before finding permanent homes for the frags? Just curious...

Welcome to reefing. Lol. Adjust this tweak that, move this move that. It's a constant thing. It will take a while but you'll get it where you want.

Some people sell/trade frags. The frag rack just gives them the space so frags aren't getting knocked over.
