I went with the owner of the LFS to the wholesaler down in LA...
BIG MISTAKE !
WOW !
It's like Wal-Mart but filled with fish !
And we went to four places like that !
unreal some of the things you can get...
One of the shops is right down the street from West Coast Customs.. From MTV's Pimp My Ride...

Powder blues color is great. Looks kind of skinny in pic 2. Give plenty of nori every day and she will plump up quickly. I say the PTB is a she cause no fish that nice loking would be a male. IMO.

I,ve been to the wholesale places here in LA. My buddies cousin owns a huge one.
My guess is you were at 104th st. they are all there. Right near LAX

Amazing operation!. you shop for your own fish just like a gaint fish supermarket.
The prices are also incredible. You see averything there. I was lucky to be able to pick up a nice Coral piece for just 15 bucks that would normally be 50.

It's really something to see.
