Two views of my Tidepool-2 wet/dry filtering units. That's it for now. :)

Thanks for sharing your setup :D I was wondering, do you keep your heaters in the main tank or the sump? I never noticed that the Tidepool II came with that screen just after the wheel, it that stock or something you added like a baffle? Is it used to reduce bubbles?

Looking good so far :)

TIA, Micah

Umm... If you are referring to the horizontal bar, that comes with the Tidepool, it is a brace to prevent bulging of the sides. In these particular views, it just looks like a baffle. Look at the document I referred to you the other day.

Once the tank has properly cycled, the two heaters (300 W) will be going into the Tidepools, one each.

Got it, still looks like a baffle in this photo though:

Also in reviewing the documentation I just now realized that two of the pipes in your tank are for return water. I originally thought you had 4 drain pipes

Are the returns 360, can you control them, & do they do a good job on keeping down salt creep?

I just wish I had a basement so I wouldn’t have to do everything in the tank stand

Yes, there are 2 overflows and 2 return pipes.

The returns are 360 and the flow rate is controlled by a small tube on the top. Salt creeps are not that bad. Just part of the weekly maintenance.

Indeed, a basement would be the perfect location to keep all the equipment. When I first setup the tank, everything was under the tank, in the living room.
Now, the tank and everything is located in the basement, but having all the equipment in a separate location makes it so much more enjoyable. Noises are kept at a minimum.

Thought I would share a pic of my DIY Beckett skimmer. It's been a long time in coming, but I had other things keeping me buzy. :)
